Location post analysis

One of the main places that we used to film was a forest adjacent to CS Lewis's house. It is said that he used this forest as inspiration for his best selling book The Chronicles Of Narnia (The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) which has been adapted several times, complete or in part, for radio, television, the stage and film. 

I thought this forest would be ideal to use because of the notion that Narnia is a world used for escapism. Our music video portrays this perfectly when we show our character going to the forest to escape social media and its pressures and expectations.

As she enters the forest, it also corresponds with the lyrics because they are uplifting and enlightening "so come on, come on, come on, come on, you've got a heart as loud as lions so why let your voice be tamed"

The main reason that we chose to film in a forest was because personally, it symbolises mystery and secrecy, but more specifically, a woman's secrets and mysteries. 










A forest symbolises seclusion as well as freedom. It can be associated with freedom because its an open space with pure nature and greenery, this can be linked with new life/growth. 





                                                      
Whereas, it could also symbolise seclusion because our main character Cynthia, is alone. We can see the trees as towering above her and making her seem small andvulnerable.




It can be shown as a place of deep mystery due to how concealing it is. Also a magical place, because of how many fairytale characters find their powers in a forest. This could be linked to her finding her own power (self confidence)
